Is it time to Jump?
Sometimes life gets comfortable: church is comfortable, family life is comfortable, your job is comfortable, but you sense that God may be pointing you to something more, something different – and that’s scary, especially when everything is great.
But that’s life in God.
He loves you and blesses the work of your hand. He blesses that which is on your heart. So when life seems to be taking a different direction, where the blessings may not be as apparent or obvious, it’s still in your best interest to move, even if you don’t precisely know what or even where you are moving too.
That could be a change of job, or career. It could be reskilling and undertaking further formal education. It may be a different ministry focus. Whatever that may be, chances are there is also some fear or apprehension surrounding it – and that’s Okay. God said ‘fear not – for I am with you’. He will never leave you or forsake you, and he cares about you and yours; but he also knows your potential, your capacity and your new creation nature, which is his very own workmanship. He knows the plans he has for you, plans for a future and a hope. He also knows the enemy is out to kill, steal and destroy, but more importantly, he also knows no weapon formed against you will prosper.
Do you know these things about you?
Do you know the plans, and the dreams, he has for you? Are you living them? If not, maybe it’s time to jump, to reevaluate your life and see yourself and those around you through the eyes of God.
